When you use Yoti Verified Calls, Yoti is acting as the service provider / processor on behalf of our Clients who are the controller. This means that our Clients are responsible for complying with the laws relating to your verification including providing you with information about the processing of your personal data  – you should contact the Client (the organisation/ meeting host that requested you to verify your identity before joining the call) for any questions on the use of your data.

Who is Yoti?

Yoti is an identity and age verification provider, specialising in helping our Clients safely and securely verify the identity and age of individuals.

What is Yoti Verified Calls?

Yoti Verified Calls is a way for you to verify your identity in a virtual meeting (at the request of the meeting host). Our Clients can integrate Yoti Verified Calls with platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet.

Before joining the call, you may be shown the following options,

  • Join using the Digital ID App (DID): This option allows you to use the Digital ID app to verify your identity before joining the call.
    • If you already have the DID app, you can use the app to scan the QR code and share your details with the requesting client i.e., the meeting host.
    • If you do not have a DID app, you can scan the QR code to create a DID app account and share your details with the requesting client. When you create a DID app account, the app privacy notice applies.
    • If you do not have the DID app and do not want to get it, you can contact the meeting host for another way to verify your identity.
  • Join using Liveness check: This option allows you to verify yourself using a face scan. If you select this option, you will be redirected to our face capture module which will be used to confirm to the meeting host that you are a real person before you join the call.
  • Join without verification: This option will allow you to jump straight into the call without verifying your identity. In such a case the meeting host may ask you to verify your identity in some other way during or after the call.

Information Collection and Use
