On 26th November, Yoti sponsored India’s biggest FinTech event and award ceremony – the India FinTech Awards 2016 (IFTA). The event took place in Mumbai, and celebrated the best innovations from financial services companies.
Capital Float, the overall winner, was named Fintech Startup of the Year and received a cash prize of Rs. 5 lakhs (£5,800), provided by Yoti. More information on the awards and the other entrants can be found here.
The event also allowed Madhu Nori to expand on Yoti’s plans to launch in India in 2017. Working with Aadhaar and pan cards to establish data, Yoti could prove to be a cheaper method of identity verification than current tools.
